Several university freshman find their courses unsuitable after getting admission. This essay will address the reasons associated with this issue and provide solutions.

To start with, various factors add pain to this issue. The primary reason is that many students do not opt for a profound understanding of the course they are going for. Some students just check on social media or discuss with their relatives regarding courses and take admission. It means they lack knowledge regarding the best choice for their future. For instance, many students are admitted to the engineering field even if they do not possess the best knowledge about a particular area and feel demotivated. All this happens due to fewer surveys.

Another aspect sustaining my viewpoint is peer pressure. To be more precise, many school pass-outs do not bother to follow their parents' advice and rely on their friends' decisions even if they are wrong. A set of school pass-outs are unaware of getting the right counselling from educated people since they just want to stay with friends during university education. Therefore, such students face harassment in the latter phase.

Society can overcome this trouble by the implementation of stringent guidelines associated with the brightest future by getting the most suitable courses. This guidance must start from schools where they are studying. In particular, schools should set up career guidance cells where professionals can take care of young learners' future aspects. It is seen that various non-medical pass-out students go for business courses, which is unacceptable since business primarily belongs to commerce pass-outs. Therefore, a perfect counsellor guides these students to go for courses associated with artificial intelligence, chemical sciences, aeronautical engineering, and technical fields. As a result, students can learn better.

Last but not least, parents must impose a hawk's eye on their ward's activities regarding course choices. If parents are educated, they can search on the Internet regarding the proposed courses in universities. However, in the case of uneducated parents, learners can seek help from intelligent and unbiased people.

To conclude, undeniably, choosing the wrong courses has become a grave concern as thousands of students face mental torture after the completion of the first year. And society can curb this menace by announcing non-polarised guidance for students.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmad...

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a sa...
