Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast

  1. What do you have for breakfast?

I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.

  1. Do you eat fast food?

Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.

  1. What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them.

India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.

The first one is a savoury stuffed pastry which is one of the most popular Indian spicy snack items. People like to enjoy this potato and onion-filled food with different sauces. The second one is Manchurian which is a very spicy and mouth-watery dish. It is a deep-fried cauliflower dish served with green-red chilli sauces. In my province Punjab, fritter is the most common item to eat. It is a fried snack that is made with black gram flour and sometimes boiled and crushed with different pulses.

  1. Why is breakfast the most important meal of the day?

Breakfast is often called the most important meal of the day owing to the plenty of reasons. As the name suggests, breakfast breaks the overnight fasting period. It replenished the supply of glucose to boost energy levels and alertness while providing other essential nutrients that are crucial for health. A number of people skip breakfast and experience headaches, blood sugar dips, faintness and difficulty in concentration.

Noise

1. Which do you think makes louder noise, in cities or the countryside?

In the cities, noise is louder compared to the outskirts owing to typical sources of noise pollution such as transport, such as road, rail and air traffic, construction and industry, and radios and televisions blaring in shops, restaurants and bars. Moreover, poor urban planning may give rise to noise disintegration or pollution, and side-by-side industrial and residential buildings can result in noise pollution in the residential areas.

  1. What noise do we have in cities?

The sounds associated with city traffic, honking, and construction have long been linked to sleeplessness, stress, increased learning impairments in children and a higher risk of hypertension and heart attacks. Moreover, motor vehicle traffic is usually the single greatest contributor to noise in most cities and the level of honking has inclined to these days.

  1. What kind of noise do cars make?

Cars make a number of noises and honking is one of the most common. Apart from this, screeching or grinding, rumbling, droning, knocking and rattling sounds annoying, as well.

  1. Do you like modern art or traditional art?

Modern art is much more expressive, free, and less formal than classical art. It questions the conventional means, formats, treatments, and materials of classical art. Modern art is highly personal in style, while classical art was more impersonal and conformed to specific techniques. Hence, on the one hand, I like modern art; however, owing to craftsmanship and uniqueness, I like a traditional one.

Library

  1. Do you often go to the library?

Milk chocolate is much sweeter than dark or bittersweet chocolate and has a lighter colour and less-pronounced chocolate taste.

  1.  Do you think it is good to use chocolate as gifts to others?

When it comes to edible gifts to make someone feel good, chocolate is everyone's favourite go-to treat. Chocolate conjures a feeling of decadence and being just a little bit spoilt - in the best way possible!

And, thank you for a nice comment.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmade items.  2.   Do you think there are many scenic spots in India

New Speaking Questions - Part 1 or 3 The answers are purely based on novel ideas and belong to BAWA IELTS Ferozepur. We also observe the copyright status of answers given here.  Name  Is it easy for you to remember people’s names?  Yes, I always find it easy to remember the names of people since I have an elephant's memory. Moreover, I can easily memorise the mobile number of people.  However, I find it difficult when I have to recall the names of those who are from another culture, especially East and South Indian, owing to their uniqueness.   Do you do anything to help you remember people’s names?  Not all the time, I think it is necessary to use anything in remembering people’s names. More specifically, if the people are from my province Punjab, then I can remember easily because of similarity; however, if the people are from another culture, then I prefer to write their names on my pocket diary to remember them.  How do you feel when people can't remember your name?  I don’
