Students should live away from home while studying at university rather than live with their parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Education is the most powerful weapon around the globe, and it is said that learners must stay away from home to get a better education at the university instead of living with their parents. I agree since it is the best way to get quality learning.

The foremost benefit of this notion is that it benefits students to meet new people. Undeniably, we still meet people on our course if we live at home, it has to be said that when we live away from home comforts, it is easier to meet new people. For a start, there is a whole group of fresh faces that will be living with us throughout our educational journey. Therefore, students can better understand others.\

Another miracle is students can learn new skills that they cannot learn in a home environment. It means students can learn new ideas to survive better. The universities guide students to get new skills during their free time so that such students can become skilful in the future. From cooking and cleaning to learning how to budget and maybe even travelling around on our own, university introduces students to many new things that we cannot access at home. These are the crucial things that help learners to grow personally which may be found wanting if they choose to stick with living at home.

A few people might disagree with me since they believe students may lose their understanding of parents. Undeniably, I agree with them; however, moving away from home can help improve our relationship with our parents. It can help us appreciate everything our parents have done for us over the years. Similarly, students become responsible for performing their tasks on their own such as paying telephone bills, room rents, and travelling charges. Thus, it is beneficial to get an education by staying away from home.

To conclude, after this discussion, I think that we should encourage pupils to get quality education by staying at hostels or away from homes since it bears more upsides.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmad...

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a sa...

CHALLENGES What subject do you think is the most challenging at school? I believe history is one of the most challenging subjects at schools since it is an uphill task for many school-goers to remember historical events and their dates. I still remember not being able to grab proper information about ancient history and the significance of historical monuments.  Do you like to challenge yourself? Yes, I love to challenge myself, which motivates me to accomplish my task with full enthusiasm and concentration. Moreover, it allows exploring more and encourages us to try beyond the limit.  Do you like to live a life that has a lot of challenges? Yes, I like a life having various challenges since it is the best way to come out of my comfort zone and face the difficulties in life. Moreover, we have to work hard to overcome challenges owing to the fact we can get the desired target.  Challenges help us discover new skills, jump into new experiences, and boost our well-bei...
