Part -1 - E-BOOKS AND PAPER BOOKS

E-BOOKS AND PAPER BOOKS

  1. Which do you prefer, e-books or paper books?
Undeniably, paper books are remarkable; however, with the advent of technology, e-books have gained immense popularity. Such books are easy to handle since one can carry them in their gadgets like cell phones or laptops. Moreover, we can search for any topic or work with a single click, and these books can be updated in real-time.
  1. When do you usually read online?
I love reading since I am a bibliophile person. It is my daily routine to read books online every night. Recently, I have started a book named To Kill a Mocking Bird, by Harper Lee. I have downloaded it from GoodReads.com and it is wonderful.

Sometimes, I love reading newspapers online to stay updated.
  1. Will you read more online in the future?
Yes, I do since online mechanisms have become the need of the hour. There is no need to carry the extra load of books, magazines and newspapers from one place to another since we can opt for any novel or book online with a single click. Moreover, I know the online mode is less expensive compared to offline ones.

  1. Do you think paper books will disappear in the future?
The future is uncertain and nobody has the power to predict it; however, I think printed books will be replaced by e-books to a large extent since people love reading online books owing to various benefits such as easy availability, easy updation, and can be downloaded anywhere anytime.

INTERNET

  1. When did you start using the internet?
I remember when I was in the 5th standard since computers were a mandatory subject in our school's curriculum. First of all, I played an online game on the Internet that I liked the most. Secondly, our teacher guided us to use the Internet to search for a particular word.
  1. How often do you go online?
I go online whenever I have to rejuvenate myself using social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram for a few minutes. Here, I like to read the news and watch some funny videos to attain tranquillity. Sometimes, whenever I have to receive or send emails, then I prefer to go online.
  1. How does the Internet influence people?
The Internet has both aspects. On the one hand, it has changed our lives positively by leaps and bounds since youngsters are getting a plethora of jobs in this sector. Web development is based on the Internet which has become the most required course almost everywhere.

On the other hand, the Internet has devastating outcomes for those who use it adversely.
  1. Do you think you spend too much time online?
No, I dislike spending too much time on the Internet since I have various other tasks to perform. I think the Internet has become a warehouse of knowledge if we use it positively; otherwise, it is full of pessimistic outcomes. I just spend 30 mins on the Internet; however, whenever I have to attend online classes, then I use the Internet for around 3 to 4 hours which is only for study purposes.

Apart from this, I love gardening and hence, I spend more time in our kitchen garden in the nature's lap.
  1. What would you do without the internet?
It is an interesting question since we humans are now unable to survive without the Internet. It has become an absolute need. However, firstly, I would be reading printed books if the Internet is inaccessible to me.
Secondly, I would like to listen to my favourite songs on CD players because we would not be able to use YouTube and Spotify.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmade items.  2.   Do you think there are many scenic spots in India

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a savoury stuffed pastr

We also observe the copyright status of answers given here.  Name  Is it easy for you to remember people’s names?  Yes, I always find it easy to remember the names of people since I have an elephant's memory. Moreover, I can easily memorise the mobile number of people.  However, I find it difficult when I have to recall the names of those who are from another culture, especially East and South Indian, owing to their uniqueness.   Do you do anything to help you remember people’s names?  Not all the time, I think it is necessary to use anything in remembering people’s names. More specifically, if the people are from my province Punjab, then I can remember easily because of similarity; however, if the people are from another culture, then I prefer to write their names on my pocket diary to remember them.  How do you feel when people can't remember your name?  I don’
