Music is one of the most enjoyable human experiences. I know several people love listening to music; however, here, I would like to talk about my friend.


  • Who this person is

He is my 2 am friend named Raman. He is a medical stream student and a great follower of the greatest singers and musicians.


  • How do you know him/her

I met Raman when we both were in eighth standard. I exactly remember he changed his section during that time, and we started having lunch together. Moreover, we loved studying together and shared various nostalgic moments.


  • What music does he/she like

My friend Raman loves listening to Indian Classical music the most since this genre is regarded as one of the oldest forms of music. Moreover, most people prefer to learn this art form first because it trains the voice to sing other difficult genres. My friend Raman always says to me this genre instils rejuvenation in him.


  • Why he/she thinks music is important

Music is vital for a set of reasons,

  1. Firstly, it acts as a stress buster since by listening to music, we can generate endorphin hormones that are associated with happiness.
  2. Secondly, a study from Harvard has shown that relaxing music may lower blood pressure and heart rate after physical exertion. 

  • Explain how you feel about him/her

I feel optimistic about my friend since it is like a boon to have this type of person in my life. I believe he always stays motivated and enthusiastic, and sometimes I feel we must listen to music to stay delighted.

  1. What do you think about playing music for children in class? 

I think it helps them learn more. For example, if we play music like rhymes and poems, the students can learn more things from that. ABC or something else is also nowadays being played as songs. So they can learn easily through visuals and listening or singing.


2. Why do many teachers incorporate music into the classroom? 

Most teachers nowadays are incorporating music in classes because it makes the children more concentrated on their studies.

Their learning increases because their visual and listening power also increases. So they can remember things more easily than reading and just listening because when they get a visual idea, they just imagine it in their mind, and it can be easily learned. 


3. Are there any advantages to a shop while music is playing? If a shop has music, the shopkeeper and the customers who come sometimes feel good in that environment because they are on the road; they are just listening to the horns, and the environment is so noisy. When they came to the shop, the music gave them a good vibe.


4. Would people’s shopping behaviour be affected in a shop with music? 

I think yes, people’s behaviour changes when they hear music or a song in the shop because if the noise is so loud in the shop, the people are not able to express or tell that person what the things he wants to buy and if he wants to buy one or two things, he can easily do that. So it affects. I think the best answer is that when there is background music, the mind listens to background music, and the mind does not have noisy seasons.

So, when there is background music, people tend to purchase more. People do bulk purchasing. 


5. What do you think would be the effect of background music in a film? 

Background music adds more sound effects to a movie because when a person is watching a movie if there is only dialogue between a person, it can sometimes be boring.

If the filmmakers add some background music to the movie, it will be more beautiful to just listen to the sounds. 


6. Why are musical movies so popular?

Musical movies are so popular because the songs and the music and the rhythms they all have created are very entertaining to the people. After all, a movie is a story of a person or a life lesson, but when they add music or songs to the film or movie, it makes the movie so interesting and entertaining.

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

  Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea.
