Describe an occasion when you had to do something in a hurry.


You should say:

  • what you had to do
  • why you had to do this in a hurry
  • how well you did this

and explain how you felt about having to do this in a hurry.


There are several instances when we have to perform our tasks in a hurry. Here, I would like to talk about an occasion when I had to do something in a hurry.


  • what you had to do


I had to read a book and complete it in fifteen days since the was given to me by my elder brother and I was left with only two weeks.


  • why you had to do this in a hurry


My brother gave me this book and told me that I could read it in a month since he had to stay with us for a month; however, his vacations were cancelled by his company and he had to leave us in fifteen days. Therefore, it was vital for me to complete the novel in the stipulated period. 


  • how well you did this


I started reading the book for 30 minutes a day; however, when I got news then I extended the time to an hour minimum because I am a bibliophile person and it was uphill for me to follow this routine; however, I completed it in twelve days.


and explain how you felt about having to do this in a hurry.


Firstly, I was feeling perplexed about the fact of how could I complete it in a matter of time. Moreover, I had to return it to my brother since he also loves reading. Therefore, for two or three days, I was upset; nonetheless, I felt delighted when my routine gave me the best answers.


Secondly, this concept has delivered a lesson to me about the fact we can perform our duties in a hurry as well when we do not get worried. Moreover, my brother was happy with me when he found that I had completed the book in just 12 days.

  Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea.
