This task one is explained by our student Mr Simran. It covers almost all areas asked.
A process chart provides information about the production of Pomace, Refined, Virgin and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Overall, plenty of steps are involved during these productions.
According to the given diagram, it is obvious that from the farms, Olives are being collected and then the best-collected Olives are sent to the collection vat which is the second step. In the third step, collected Olives are then de-leafing and washed in a washer and then sent to an Olive Mill for the crushing of Olives. The fifth step is the mixing of crushed Olives in Malaxer below 27 Celsius.
Moving further, the next step consists of a centrifugal press. It then sends mixed olives to Decanter by discarding pomace or pulp residue separately. From Decanter, the olives then send to Separator which separates liquid oil from solids.
In addition, Separator then discards waste water separately and fills clean and fresh oil in a storage tank. The storage tank follows two processes: Filtration and Refining. From filtration, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Virgin Olive oil is being collected, and from Refining, Refined Olive Oil is taken out.
Finally, from Pomace or Pulp Reside, Olive Pomace Oil is collected after the delivery of this pomace to the mill.
