A triple-line chart reveals employment tendencies in the USA from 1975 to 2025. The data covers three sectors and units in millions. Overall, services will incline in the future; however, manufacturing and agriculture will plunge.
In 1975, manufacturing and services attracted around 10 million people in each category. Agriculture had 80 million workers. The first two sectors rose to nearly 12 million after two years. But agriculture remained the same. In 1979, manufacturing and services overlapped at 15 million; conversely, agriculture nose-dived at 42. 1980 was the lone year when all the mentioned sectors collided at 40 million.
After 1979, the services sector started following an upward trend and will touch 90 million in 2025. On the contrary, the other two areas will be kept on observing a downward trend. To be more precise, manufacturing will tank to 10 million, and agriculture will plummet to 12 million by the end of 2025.
