New Cue Card - Talk about a TV show you like to watch.

Talk about a TV show you like to watch.

You should say:

What is the program about?

When do you watch it?

Who do you watch it with?

Why do you like to watch it?

TV shows inculcate energy and passion in a person if watched sincerely. I watch two or three TV programs daily and here, I would like to talk about my favourite one.

What is the program about?

It is none other than Man vs. Wild also known as Born Survivor which is broadcasted on Discovery Channel every evening at 10.00 pm. It is one of the best TV programs I have ever watched, and its genre comes under the adventure category.

When do you watch it?

I love to watch it every time it broadcasts on the channel, especially at 7.00 pm or sometimes 10.00 pm. Moreover, I watch it on YouTube too, if I feel bored.

Who do you watch it with?

I like to watch it with my brother since he loves to grab knowledge about the ecosystem or sometimes alone since it depends on the mood of my brother whether to watch it or not.

Why do you like to watch it?

I like to watch it owing to several reasons.

  1. The first is that the main character of the program is Bear Grylls whom I like the most owing to his powerful character and the way he teaches the people to survive the weird environment.
  2. The secondary reason is that by watching this serial, we can learn to face the toughest moments, the most inhospitable places on the earth and the unique survival techniques to stay alive there.
  3. Moreover, it is my hobby to get knowledge about geography and this program is the best way to get that knowledge. For instance, recently, Bear Grylls has shown the origination of the longest river in India named The Gangas and I was so happy to watch the episode. I also have grabbed knowledge about the greatest oceans and mountain ranges in the world by watching this TV program.

Part 3 - Citation belongs to the Internet.

1. What do Indian people like to watch?
India is a diverse country, and it is very hard to generalise what people like to watch. People like to watch the news, soaps, dramas, comedy shows, reality shows, and sports. It really depends upon the person. I personally like to watch the news, sports shows, and competitions.

2. Do you like watching foreign countries’ TV shows?
Yes, I watch a lot of foreign countries’ TV shows especially Hollywood as I find they are much more entertaining. I feel their budgets are better and so the visuals and special effects are really good. Moreover, I think there is a lot of diversity available in Hollywood TV shows.

3. Do you think watching TV shows can be educational for children?
It really depends upon the type of TV show. Some TV channels like Discovery and National Geography have shows that can be really educational for children. Others shows like dramas and soaps are mainly a sort of entertainment but they can also educate children in some ways. For example, watching them can improve children’s linguistic skills and they can learn about other countries cultures and traditions.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmade items.  2.   Do you think there are many scenic spots in India

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a savoury stuffed pastr
