Many Food And Drinks Contain High Levels Of Sugar. Sugary Products Should Be Made More Expensive | Agree Or Disagree

Many Food And Drinks Contain High Levels Of Sugar and still, people like to eat them. Why?

Hence, Sugary Products Should Be Made More Expensive.

Agree Or Disagree

A number of produced eatables and beverages consist of a large quantity of sugar these days that acts as the major culprit behind plenty of health troubles. Thus, a section of society believes that the government must make these items costlier so that consumers consume them at a restricted level. I strongly condemn the given notion since by doing so, these products will be confined to the elite class only which will invite discrimination.

To start with, in this cut-throat competitive world, people run out of time to cook food at home, and hence, they prefer to buy ready-made meals consisting of enormous sugar. In particular, numerous people love to eat burgers and pizza along-with beverages such as carbonated and soda drinks that consist of high sugar quantity. As a result, they have been attacked by numerous deadly diseases named Hypertension, Diabetes and Cardiovascular troubles.

Moreover, in the USA, every year around one-third proportion of people succumb to mentioned diseases, and sugar is considered the root cause behind this. Therefore, it is said that these products should be made expensive so that people can refrain from eating them.

Undeniably, it can be good, but I think that this phenomenon will bring a few social issues. I consider that instead of increasing prices, sugar content in such materials should be restricted up to a large extent so that people can keep on enjoying these items without any worry. Besides this, schools, universities and colleges must organise awareness camps to make students aware of the detrimental impacts of such food materials.

Last but not least, I suppose that people's health comes first. Therefore, such items should be banned or given stringent guidelines for using sugar within stipulated limits.

To conclude, though these food materials and drinks play an imperative role in consumers' life owing to their busy schedules, we should not overlook their deleterious consequences. Thus, the government should put a cap on the production of mentioned items instead of raising prices.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmad...

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a sa...
