Cue Card - Describe a change that could improve your local area.

Describe a change that could improve your local area. You should say:

  • what the change would be?
  • how this change could be made?
  • what problems are causing the need for this change?
  • and explain how this change would improve your local area.

BAWA IELTS Ferozepur has written this task using its own language. We have considered the plagiarism policy. It is fully checked using the iThenticate check mechanism.

Change is nature's law, and for the smooth functioning of life, change is necessary. We already have a number of changes in our local area and here I would like to talk about what we want to have in the future.

  • what the change would be?

This change would be the conversion of rainwater into potable since the groundwater is declining at jet speed with each passing day.

  • how this change could be made?

This change is easy to accomplish. First of all, we have to follow the rainwater harvesting technique which is capturing rainwater for residential and commercial applications. Harvested rainwater is drinkable only when it undergoes disinfectant treatment.

Therefore, rooftop rainwater harvesting is the most common technique for domestic consumption, and by installing pipes and tanks nearby the houses, this change can be made.

  • what problems are causing the need for this change?

An ocean of issues there that are forcing several residents to follow this change.

  1. The first is these days the groundwater level is tanking, owing to which it has become a matter of grave concern to search for alternative methods of getting pure drinking water.
  2. Secondly, people, today use gallons of fresh water daily for washing, drinking and bathing purposes; therefore, with this change, we can get water easily for these purposes.

Thus, our local area can be improved if we follow this change because we face water scarcity daily.

  • and explain how this change would improve your local area.

This change is beneficial for all residents since we get fresh water two times a day. Hence, by following this technique, it would be viable to have access to clean water 24*7. Furthermore, this will also impose less burden on natural resources like groundwater and water streams.

Besides this, we are unable to water plants in the colony's park owing to the trouble of getting water from the government. As a result, by using the rainwater harvesting mechanism, we can use water for this purpose at any time of the day.

Consequently, this concept will improve our lifestyle and vanish our troubles.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmade items.  2.   Do you think there are many scenic spots in India

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a savoury stuffed pastr
