The table reveals the percentage of diverse classes of families residing in destitution in Australia in 1999. Overall, the highest ratio belongs to sole parents; however, the maximum count belongs to a couple with children.
According to the given six-sectored table chart, the highest proportion belonged to sole parents. It was 21%. The second place had given to the single, no children category, and the proportion here was two per cent less than a sole parent. The third category was a couple with children with 12%. The couple, no children registered three-fold lower than a sole parent. Similarly, the proportion of single-aged people was two times lower than that of a couple with children. Finally, the aged couple recorded 4%.
Moving further, 933,000 people came under the couple with children category, followed by 232,000 as sole parents. 359,000 and 211,000 had come under single, no children and couple, no children categories, respectively. Single aged person and the aged couple had 54,000 and 48,000 people, separately.
At last, all households were at 11% with 1,837,000 people.
