Promises are made to convince ourselves regarding the fact in the future, we will surely keep our words. A number of promises, I have made so far, and now going to talk about one amongst them.

Whom did you make the promise to?

I exactly remember when I made a promise to my best friend Amit regarding a visit to the Yoga Capital of the World named Rishikesh situated on the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand state.

What was the promise?

I made that promise with him to visit Rishikesh on June 21st to celebrate International Yoga Festival. It was his long-cherished desire to be a part of the Yoga Festival.

Why do you make the promise?

Since he is my 2 am friend, we have an excellent understanding. He also told me that he would like to visit Jim Corbett National Park and be a part of the holy river The Ganges evening prayer. Hence, I made a promise that I will accompany him.

Was the promise easy to achieve?

Yes, I achieved my promise since I am a person of my words. Furthermore, at that time, summer vacations were going on and I was curious to visit a hill station too.

In addition, I was also free from my college and tuition classes owing to which it was easy for me to visit Rishikesh. As a result, we reached on June 19th at hotel Yog Niketan in Rishikesh and participated in the festival on June 21st.

Finally, I kept my promise, and the most cherished moments of my life, I enjoyed there.

Part 3 Questions - Citation - The Internet IELTS MATERIAL Concept

  • Generally speaking, do Indian parents make promises to children?

Yes, they do. Indian parents perhaps make a lot of promises to their wards and they make sure that they keep up with them. The bond between the Indian families and especially, between parents and their children is something that is a paradigm for all.

  • Do children also make promises to their parents?

Yes, children do make promises. In fact, children are the ones who make the most number of promises according to me regarding their grades or behaving well with others. The naivety of children prompts them to make a lot of promises.

  • Do most people fulfil their promises?

That depends upon the personality of people and a lot of it has to do with the kind of people they are. There are various attributes like loyalty, chivalry and honesty and one who has them all would definitely keep up one’s promise.

  • How do you feel when others break their promises?

I genuinely feel indifferent if they are a matter of indifference to me. However, if I trust someone and they breach it by not staying up with what they committed, I honestly feel bad.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmade items.  2.   Do you think there are many scenic spots in India

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a savoury stuffed pastr

Moreover, I can easily memorise the mobile number of people.  However, I find it difficult when I have to recall the names of those who are from another culture, especially East and South Indian, owing to their uniqueness.   Do you do anything to help you remember people’s names?  Not all the time, I think it is necessary to use anything in remembering people’s names. More specifically, if the people are from my province Punjab, then I can remember easily because of similarity; however, if the people are from another culture, then I prefer to write their names on my pocket diary to remember them.  How do you feel when people can't remember your name?  I don’
