In contemporary days, noise pollution, as well as honking (horn Pollution), is supplementing at an alarming rate owing to which individuals are contending that too much noise should be considered a criminal offence; however, others think, everybody should be permitted to make noise without any restriction. This essay is an attempt of discussing both schools of thought along with an appropriate opinion.
On the one hand, plenty of reasons favours the former view. First of all, legal action ought to (should) be taken against those who produce intense noise owing to its severity. More specifically, in a number of neighbourhoods, some people love to play songs at extremely high volumes that can be disturbing for others and therefore should be forbidden. Secondly, it has been seen that an abundance of people speaks loudly on their cell phones, especially during their visit to a hospital as well as a public library. Hence, to curb loud noise, such people should be penalized heavily.
On the other hand, the latter view is also correct according to some other groups because they believe, every person is responsible enough that he or she can behave in a good manner while residing in this society. They think such people are sensible enough that they will show empathy and good moral behaviour towards others. According to these people, without restrictions, a number of people consider this their moral duty to make the environment noise-free.
After analyzing both views, I think that the second opinion does not hold any water since in my province Punjab, people are getting red flags about driving a particular bike with an altered silencer. Recently, plenty of youngsters have been cracked down (punished) by police officials who have polluted this environment by using modified silencers and creating too much noise pollution. Moreover, the number of other cases such as playing DJ at high volumes during the night has also been restrained by officials sternly.
To conclude, making excessive noise should be treated as a punishable act by the law and no one ought to be spared engaging in such activities.
