IELTS Speaking Part 3: Follow-up Questions

1. Why is it that some people today dislike sending text messages?

This is owing to several reasons;

First of all, the text message concept has now become a slow process due to the fact people like to use instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp as well as Facebook Messenger. Moreover, text messages do not compete with instant messaging applications in providing extra features such as video calls or voice messages.

2. What’s the information that Cannot be Communicated through text messages?

Too much data is there that cannot be sent via text messages. To start with, text messages are unable to transfer huge data in one go such as documents, music files, and images. Moreover, one cannot send videos by using text messages. Furthermore, one cannot express proper emotions by using text messages.

3. How can folks in India deliver significant info?

Indian people use different types of communication to send important information from one part to another. To begin with, professionals prefer to use electronic mail since it is the best way of transferring data and information that is vital. Moreover, certain masses use WhatsApp and Messenger to transfer data with a single click. Last but not least, banks, as well as intuitions, prefer to send traditional letters to the people so that data may remain confidential.

4. What do you think about classic paper mail?

I believe conventional paper mails still maintain some worth in the present world of technologies. Some aren’t too familiar with technology and favour paper communication. There can also be individuals who don’t have access to technology, particularly in remote places. In addition, for individual communication, handwritten paper letters include an individual touch, are convenient, and make it easier to remain in contact with our loved ones members and friends, regardless of space. It’s also the preferred mode for official communications such as in banks and educational institutions.

5. Do you think It’s still a Fantastic way to Deliver information using conventional mail?

I don't think so since nowadays technology is seeping into people's lives so smoothly. Therefore, people like to share data and information with loved ones in the form of e-mails or technological messaging applications. Conversely, traditional mail is time unfriendly as it requires a longer time as compared to e-mails.

6. Have our methods to communicate with every Other changed in the past few decades?

Yes, these methods have been changed by leaps and bounds as nowadays digital communication is swapping traditional forms of communication. Gone are the days, when people loved to have more face-to-face communication since, in modern days, people use video calls as well as sending messages in the form of instant or text formation. Moreover, the masses love to chat over social media instead of going outside for any physical communication.

7. What are the gaps between Indian Networking and social websites?

I believe that in the modern planet, the differences between both Western and Indian media aren’t a lot. The most important distinction is that Indian websites utilize distinct regional languages to find information about each area and the countries that use various languages.

The material is also more appropriate to India’s culture. At precisely the same time, Indian media also connects us to the planet and provides us exposure and information to the entire Earth, and contains components that are rather like the Western press. By way of instance, the arrangement of several shows like Indian Idol, India’s Got Talent, information shows and talks, etc.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmade items.  2.   Do you think there are many scenic spots in India

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a savoury stuffed pastr

Moreover, I can easily memorise the mobile number of people.  However, I find it difficult when I have to recall the names of those who are from another culture, especially East and South Indian, owing to their uniqueness.   Do you do anything to help you remember people’s names?  Not all the time, I think it is necessary to use anything in remembering people’s names. More specifically, if the people are from my province Punjab, then I can remember easily because of similarity; however, if the people are from another culture, then I prefer to write their names on my pocket diary to remember them.  How do you feel when people can't remember your name?  I don’
