Some people believe that free housing should be provided by governments for underprivileged people who can't afford to buy a house. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Give an example based on your own experience.

In the modern era, the house plays a prominent role in everyone's life. A few individuals assert that free housing ought to be provided by the authorities for deprived people who cannot afford to purchase a house. I partially agree with this notion and will discuss this notion with appropriate examples in the forthcoming paragraphs.

On the one hand, scores of aspects aggravate this phenomenon. The significant reason is human rights. To be more precise, Housing is a fundamental human need, and governments have a responsibility to ensure access to affordable housing. A few needy people have no house or money. They suffer several troubles in the summer and rainy season. Free housing can help alleviate poverty and improve living standards. Thus, the free housing concept plays an essential role in people's lives.

On the other hand, several demerits will support my viewpoint. The foremost reason is the economic burden. To be more precise, Free housing can be costly and strain government resources. People depend on the government. They do not participate in work. To cite an example, the government survey reveals that 75% of poor individuals do not have a house, and the authority provides a house; nonetheless, these individuals do not live in a house. This house gives rent to individuals, and they can earn money from this house. Needy individuals resort to utilising to earn money. Governments might need to prioritise sustainable solutions, such as affordable housing initiatives or subsidies. Hence,

In my opinion, apart from the need for affordable housing, I believe that governments should prioritise sustainable solutions, such as offering subsidies or financial assistance for low-income individuals, along with implementing programs to increase affordable housing options. The chair should be helpful to needy people; however, it should not provide a house or other items for free. The authority provides skills courses. Deprived people do their work by hand. Providing knowledge about repairing, technical, plumbing and electrical, they can easily earn money. This is the best way to fulfil needs and dreams.

To conclude, after discussing both schools of thought, I firmly assert that governments should prioritise sustainable solutions to address housing affordability, rather than solely relying on free housing.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmad...

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a sa...
