Describe an Old Friend You Got in Contact With Again

You should say

Who he or she is?

What is he or she like?

How did you get in contact?

And explain how you felt about it.

Friends play an imperative role in our lives. Sometimes, we get a chance to come in contact with old friends which is interesting. Therefore, here I would like to talk about an old friend of mine with whom I have come in contact again.

Who he or she is?

He is Amit, who was my classmate till the fifth standard. I remember we started studying together in a playway school, and after the fifth class he changed his school since his father was transferred to Ludhiana and hence, he left the city as well.

What is he or she like?

Now, he is a gentleman and he runs his own business and deals with spare parts of motor vehicles.

How did you get in contact?

It is interesting. I was going to Rishikesh which is the Yoga Capital of India, during International Yoga Festival on June 21st. I started my journey on a train named the Ganga-Satluj Express from my hometown. Amit, also got his ticket booked on the same train from Ludhiana, and with god grace, he sat near to me. When I saw him, straightway I recognised him too, and we remembered nostalgic moments of our childhood. Moreover, he was also going to attend this festival, and we spent quality time together.

And explain how you felt about it.

I was over the moon when I got a chance to meet Amit since he was my 2.00 am in my childhood, and we were not in contact with each other for the full eight years. Therefore, we both were extremely delighted when we met.

Furthermore, we reached Rishikesh and opted for the same hotel named Yog Niketan, where we discussed our families. His father always showed strict behaviour with us in childhood; however, when I talked to him over the phone, he blessed me a lot like his son.

Hence, now we are in contact with each other, and I feel on cloud 9 after this meeting.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmad...

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a sa...
