The medical field provides a plethora of opportunities to individuals. Here, I would like to talk about a person whom I know and who has chosen a career in the medical field.

  • Who he/she is

He is my neighbour. His name is Dr. Shivaz. We have both been sharing the same neighbour for a decade. He is an intelligent and hardworking person.

  • What he/she does

He is a doctor and recently has passed his degree in medical line. Now, he runs his healthcare centre in my hometown Ferozepur. He treats his patients very well and with full dedication.

  • Why he/she chose this career

Once upon a time, he discussed with me about choosing this career. His grandfather Dr. M.L. Soni is one of the renowned doctors in the same city and he has been delivering his services in the same field for fifty years. Moreover, her mother also belongs to this field and she is a doctor. Therefore, Dr. Shivaz has chosen the same field because he can perform well under the guidance of family members.

  • Explain how you feel about him/her.

I feel happy and motivated about this person owing to a set of reasons:

  1. Firstly, he treats his patients very well and provides them with light and effective medicine. He does not cost too much from patients. Moreover, he also provides home services when a patient faces a critical emergency.
  2. Secondly, once upon a time, my mother's blood pressure inclined drastically and touched around 205/105. She was facing critical hypertension stage 2. This person straightway came to my home upon my request and provided immediate emergency aid to my mother. Her blood pressure reduced within 15 minutes after gulping the medicine given by this person. Thus, he saved my mother's life.

Therefore, I always feel happy for this person and the services he is providing.

Part - 3

1. Can a hospital function effectively without nurses?

It is difficult for a hospital to work effectively without nurses because doctors are professional, but they need the unlimited support of the nurses to handle the conflicts adroitly. Moreover, if there are no nurses, doctors would remain very busy, and the tasks would take a lot of time. Hence, nurses are as critical as doctors in a hospital.

2. What are the differences between the work of a doctor and a nurse? The work of a doctor is more specialized. He has more knowledge, so more, you know, the doctor manages upper-level tasks. On the other hand, nurses look after the menial tasks related to patient care, and their primary responsibility is to provide unlimited support to the doctor so that they can handle the patient effectively. Moreover, the nurses form an emotional bond with the patients so that if the doctor is unavailable, the patient can resort to the nurse for suggestions and queries.

3. Do you think it is necessary to learn first-aid skills?

Learning first-aid skills is a prudent approach because you cannot have doctors and nurses in front of you everywhere. So, there are some situations where you need to have the basic knowledge to care for yourself and others around you. So, basic knowledge of first aid is fundamental.”

4. Do you think that doctors and nurses should be paid more?

Doctors and nurses are not paid enough because they contribute to society. They need to be paid accordingly. Their contribution is far better than that of film stars, politicians, and sports stars. But still, the other professions are paid more than the people in the medical fraternity.

5. Who plays a more critical role, doctors or nurses?

Both doctors and nurses are essential. Doctors provide specialized care, and their knowledge level is higher than that of nurses. Meanwhile, nurses play a significant role in the general occupation. Hence, both the contribution of doctors and nurses is essential.

6. Do you think doctors and nurses are essential?

Yes, doctors and nurses are essential. They are a necessary pillar of society. They provide medical care to people from all walks of life. And any society cannot flourish further without the unsupported support of doctors and nurses. Hence, they are significant.

Part - 3 - All Cue Cards

Part 3 belongs to all new cue cards from September to December 2022. We have written the answers on our own except for one topic. Hence, we hold the copyright status of the answers written by us. 1.  Describe an object you find particularly beautiful (For example, a painting, sculpture, piece of jewellery/furniture, etc.). 1. Do   you   think   there   are   more   beautiful   things   now   than  in  the   past? In my opinion, traditional art and sculptures are much more captivating. I think in the past, it was easier for artists to find shoppers in the form of kings and nobles and they could focus on their art without any financial worries. However, today it is much harder to earn money as an artist. The art being made today also reflects that – it is done more as a hobby rather than as a profession and the works produced are far behind those of the past. Moreover, nowadays artists rely on machine work instead of handmade items.  2.   Do you think there are many scenic spots in India

Speaking Part 1 - January to April 2023

Fast Food and Break Fast What do you have for breakfast? I prefer to have my favourite food items during the first meal of the day. Usually, I like wheat bread with freshly cooked vegetables like Okra, Turnip, beans and cauliflower. Along with this, I love to take a cup of tea. However, during weekends, my mother cooks stuffed bread for me, and amongst all these bread types, my favourite one is potato-filled bread with curd and homemade butter.  Do you eat fast food? Yes, I do, but once a fortnight, I prefer to have it. It is owing to the bad cholesterols present in junk food materials. In this category, I find cheese burst pizza, garlic bread and white sauce Italian pasta mouth-watering.  What are the different kinds of fast food in your country? Name them. India has an ocean of fast food materials. For instance, Chinese, Italian and American fast materials are the most popular ones in India. Moreover, we have traditional fast foods as well.  The first one is a savoury stuffed pastr

Many people argue that restaurants should be required to disclose the nutritional information of the dishes they serve. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages? This answer is submitted by BAWA IELTS Ferozepur considering the plagiarism policy. Food is fuel for everyone, and it must be nutritious always to get a sound body. Therefore, a number of individuals contend that restaurants must show nutritional information regarding the dishes they provide. I agree with the statement since I believe the merits outperform the demerits. On the one hand, plenty of factors sustain the positive aspect of this notion. The primary benefit is parents will feel better about choosing a meal for their children when they are aware of the nutrition level of the items being purchased. Moreover, by providing nutritional information, minors can gradually learn about healthy eating and cultivate better eating habits. The secondary miracle of this culture is that adding nutritional labels increa
