The table reveals the mean band scores for candidates who belonged to diverse language groups who appeared in the IELTS General test in 2010. Overall, the highest overall scores hit in the German language group; however, Indonesian recorded the lowest.
The German language group got 6.8 in listening followed by 6.3 in reading, 6.6 in writing, and 6.9 in speaking. The French language group recorded 6.3, 6.1, 6.5, and 6.6 in listening, reading, writing, and speaking, respectively. The Indonesian language group grabbed 6.3 in the first module and 6.7 in the fourth one. In the second and third, similar bands score of 6.1 each were awarded. The Malay language group was at 6.2 in listening and 6.4 in reading. 6.0 and 6.6 band scores were received in writing and speaking separately.
From the overall perspective, the highest overall bands bearing 6.7 were awarded to the German language group followed by The Malay with 6.4. The French and Indonesians were at 6.5 and 6.3, isolately.
