In many countries today, parents can choose to send their children to single-sex schools or co-educational schools. Some people think that children going to single-sex schools have disadvantages later in life. To what extent do you agree?

  It is a perennial debate whether single-sex schools have demerits later in life. I agree with the notion since such schooling lacks diversity. The foremost downside is this type of schooling is full of single-gender interactions rather than interaction with the opposite gender. While single-gender classrooms provide a relaxed ambience for children's interaction with their gender, it is different in the real world, where boys and girls must interact and work with each other. Moreover, when they are used to interacting only with one gender in school, the awkwardness and newness of the experience make it difficult for boys and girls to interact and converse comfortably. Another demerit of this schooling is it promotes gender disparity. To be more precise, children usually tend to be shy around each other or are just too curious about each other.
