Many people believe that learning a foreign language is a very difficult task. What are the most difficult things about learning a foreign language? What is the best way to overcome them? Explain and include your personal experience or knowledge of these problems. Acquiring new language skills is indeed by no means an easy task. Language learners might encounter a number of challenges such as unfamiliar accents or grammar structures in the learning process of a foreign language. However, I am of the opinion that such difficulties can be tackled by a well-rounded education system. When it comes to languages, it is undeniably crucial to get used to a native accent and intonation for effective communication. However, picking up an accurate accent can be enormously complex, especially for adult learners because they lack language learning ability. If a language learner has an unrecognisable pronunciation and intonation, they would not be understood by native speakers. On top of that, eac

A dual horizontal bar graph depicts the most important factor for a prosperous business. The data compared two regions named The USA and Europe. Overall, management techniques played a vital role in a victorious business, according to the highest proportion of people.   According to the chart, nearly 5% of people consider the political situation as an imperative factor in The USA; however, 15% favoured this factor in Europe. In the case of external factors, the proportion was the same in both areas. It was roughly 7%. 38% of votes favoured the personality of the director in The USA, and one-fifth voted in Europe for this factor.  The national economy played a nominal role in both areas. It was 18% and 22% in The USA and Europe, respectively. Management had been given the utmost importance. In brief, it grabbed 37% of votes in The USA and 38% in The European countries.

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement

Living in a country where you have to speak a foreign language can cause serious social problems, as well as practical problems. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement Though a few people assert that staying in a country where a foreign language is spoken can lead to social and practical problems, I do not agree with this completely. I concur that there can be issues with communication and adaptation to living conditions. However, it allows one to learn a new language, develop new peer networks and enhance knowledge about the culture. Residing abroad where a novel language is spoken can be gruesome, with difficulties in everyday communication and an inability to adjust to the new culture. To begin with, learning a new language can be difficult and time-consuming. Verbal communication with the locals or natives of the country can be challenging. Hence, carrying out daily errands, work-related discussions or even exploring the place can be frustrating. Not being prof

Many of the products we buy nowadays break or wear out very quickly. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this for manufacturers and the public?

Many of the products we buy nowadays break or wear out very quickly. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this for manufacturers and the public? To be more fashionable, people tend to buy new items without even considering the quality and requirements. Therefore, things they buy easily break or wear out. This practice is beneficial thing for manufacturers as they make money by selling inferior goods to the public. The only benefit it has to the public is that they get a variety of options at a cheaper rate, but quality-wise, they do not get long-lasting and reliable products. When products do not last long, manufacturers get to make more profits since consumers have to buy new products more frequently. Earlier, a phone would last 5 or 10 years, but now the most modern smartphones with high-end features do not last more than a couple of years. Consequently, consumers are forced to replace their existing models with newer ones. This benefits the manufacturers. The only advantag

A line graph demonstrates the data on the worldwide population figures from 1800 to 2100. The dual vertical bar chart represents information about urban populations in different areas of the world. The data is given in millions of people. Overall, the population will incline in the future compared to the past. And developing areas will have more population than developed ones.  According to the first figure, 1000 million people were recorded in 1800, and till count kept on boosting and registered double tally in 1920. In 1950, the trend blasted dramatically, and till 2020, 7500 people were residing all over the globe. Today, the world has around 7600 million people. From 2040 to 2050, the world will have the highest population. It will be just over 8000 million. By 2050, the population will start to decline again, and by 2100, it will be 6000 million, approximately.  From the second diagram, the developed regions had and will have the same population count of 1300 million in the past

People should follow the local customs and traditions when they come to live in a new country.  Do you think it is possible to learn a culture without learning the language? To what extent do you agree or disagree? The globalised world these days makes it simpler than ever before for people to relocate and start building a life in a new country. As everyone comes from their cultural background, a question arises of whether or not people should be expected to follow the customs of their host country. I completely agree with the notion that while learning about the local customs may require some time and effort, it is valuable and will aid the integration of newcomers into society. In many cultures, following the local customs means offering respect, which is an imperative ethical value in almost every culture. The opposite is also true: disregarding traditions is often seen as a sign of disrespect. To establish good neighbourly relationships and feel welcome in the new place, it is vi

Task 1

The fluctuating multiple-line chart demonstrates the proportion of households with electrical appliances, and a single-line graph depicts the count of hours of housework per week per household. The data covers a century from 1920 to 2019 and belongs to a particular country. Overall, the usage inclined with each passing year, and the number of hours declined.    According to the first diagram, the percentage was almost 2 in the case of the refrigerator; however, 30 and 40 belonged to vacuum cleaners and washing machines, respectively. This information covers 1920. The proportions were 60, 55 and 50 in the usage of washing machines, the refrigerator and vacuum cleaners, separately after two decades. In 1960, refrigerators touched 90%; nonetheless, both other appliances reached 70% each. From 1980 to 2019, the ratio belonged to refrigerators was the same. It was 100. Moreover, vacuum cleaners also had a similar proportion of 100 between 2000 and 2019. Further, washing machines recorded

In some countries, private cars are now banned from certain city centres. What are the advantages and disadvantages of such a system? Do you feel that this is something that most cities should adopt? Banning cars from city centres is a recent trend, and it can be seen in plenty of cities around the world. Certain benefits and drawbacks immediately spring to mind when considering this step that city councils are taking. The merits are apparent. With the advent of the motorised era, city centres have always been areas where air quality is poor due to carbon emissions, which in turn affects people's health. City centres become quieter and safer for people to wander around shopping and enjoying themselves. Access to city centres can still be good, as it is usually only private vehicles that are banned, and buses and taxis can still take people in and out of the city centre areas. Many towns also operate a park-and-ride scheme, so people can leave their cars in safe car parks on the o

Task 1

The given diagram depicts the different stages that are necessary while publishing a book. The whole process is composed of nine diverse phases and needs 18 to 24 months. Overall, the publication process commences with writing and concludes with distribution to bookshops.  The first step is to write the document, and then it is sent to publication houses which is the second stage. In the third scenario, the editors review the received material. In the fourth phase, a contract is then signed with the publication house before publishing the material.  The publication house then starts designing the layout before the final decision on the layout. This design belongs to step five and the final decision is the sixth step. After the final decision on the layout, the house starts printing which is followed by binding in the eighth stage. The ninth step is the final one in which the distribution to bookshops initiates.

Task 1 - Graph

The solution is written by BAWA IELTS Ferozepur considering the plagiarism policy.  A multiple vertical bar graph demonstrates the tourists' count who visited four museums. The data belongs to London. Overall, August witnessed the highest footfalls; however, July faced the lowest.  Just over 400,000 people visited the History Museum (HM) in June. The count was nearly 420,000 to the British Museum (BM) and 430,000 to the Science Museum (SM). Nevertheless, the National Museum (NM) had the lowest tally of just 210,000. July had almost a similar number of tourists compared to June.  December had roughly 275,000 visitors to the HM and 190,000 to the NM. The count was approximately 470,000 and 300,000 in the BM and SM, respectively.   600,000 people visited the HM in August; nonetheless, the count tanked to 380,000 in September. The BM had the maximum number of travellers in August. This tally was 710,000. The same museum faced 590,000 people in September. The NM noticed 380,000 and 20

There is a problem today that copyright materials such as music, films and books are freely available on the Internet with the result that the owners of the works lose money. Do you feel that this is a good or bad thing? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience. In modern-day society, it has become prevalent to make copyright-protected material freely available on the Internet with the result that the owners of the work lose huge sums of money. The discussion of whether or not this distribution is of positive or negative nature has therefore been raised. Personally, I assert that this issue has both negative and positive effects. To start with, distributing copyright-protected material freely online can firstly help make this material more popular. Often people are not willing to spend money on a film or song before being exposed to it once, as they cannot be sure that they will enjoy the material they are about to purchase. If

New Cue Card - Describe a place you visited where the air was polluted.

Describe a place you visited where the air was polluted. You should say: Where the place is? When you visited? Why the air was not good? And explain how you felt about the place. This cue card's solution belongs to BAWA IELTS FEROZEPUR. We have followed the plagiarism policy while writing this cue card.  Pollution has become an alarming issue for the entire globe since it invites plenty of trouble. I visited a polluted place recently and going to discuss it now.  Where the place is? It is New Delhi that serves as the National capital. It is 400 miles away from my hometown. It is adjacent to Haryana Border and can be approachable easily by bus, train or personal vehicle.  When you visited? I visited it in May last year when I had to attend a wedding function of my cousin's brother. My brother's family organised the event during the summer season owing to job commitments.  Why the air was not good? Owing to several reasons, the air was polluted there: The first is that New

It must be a woman who stays at home to care for children. Men are not suited to this kind of work. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement? Traditionally in many parts of the world, it has been women who have stayed at home to care for children. This has led to the ideology and expectation that women are more suited to this type of work than men. I disagree with the notion since I am of the opinion that the modern era does not believe in gender biasing. The overwhelming status quo where women stay at home to care for the children probably derives from the fact that women are the ones who have to actually give birth to children and, following that, they are the ones who for the early part of a child's life have to feed the child until it is weaned. In times past, this state of affairs probably led to the women assuming the permanent role of carer for the home and children, whilst men went out to work, whether it was to gather food or work in fields or factorie

Schools should focus on academic success and passing examinations. Skill such as cookery, dressmaking and woodwork should not be taught at school as it is better to learn these from family and friends. To what extent do you agree or disagree ?

Schools should focus on academic success and passing examinations. Skills such as cookery, dressmaking and woodwork should not be taught at school as it is better to learn these from family and friends. To what extent do you agree or disagree? It is a universal truth that education has a considerable bearing on people’s personal development. Given the magnitude of schooling, what should or should not be covered in the curriculum is a perennial debate. A school of thought holds that schools only offer subjects that students will be tested on, and practical skills are of little importance and, hence, should be excluded from the scope of the study program. Personally, I disagree with this statement on both counts.  Firstly, it is a mistake to consider passing exams of all students as the sole purpose of academic learning, which pigeonhole the value of education. In the attempt of earthlings to make sense of the world, the knowledge acquired from subjects such as physics and biology helps

New Cue Card - Describe a place where there was a lot of noise.

Describe a place where there was a lot of noise. This cue card's answer is submitted by our student Karan Kumar Nanda and it covers 7.0 bands.  Noise pollution refers to any unwanted or disturbing sound which is one of the major factors affecting the health and well-being of humans. Hence in this cue card, I will talk about a location where there was a lot of noise.   When did this happen? It happened two months ago when I was commuting to Delhi from my hometown Ferozepur with my family to pay my obeisance at a shrine. Where it was? As I mentioned earlier, I was travelling to a shrine situated in Delhi. I witnessed massive noise pollution When I was heading toward the Central-West region. Why there was a lot of noise? There were a plethora of reasons that caused a lot of noise: Firstly, On the way when my destination was just 10 kilometres away, I got stuck into a traffic jam due to a wedding procession of a Bridegroom going on the same road. The wedding band was very weird and u
