Dear Sir,
I am writing to apologise for the meeting about an international conference I missed.
I am feeling sorry again for not showing my presence at the meeting. I already have an idea about the importance of it but owing to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to attend it.
The major reason for not attending the meeting was that my maternal uncle met in an accident while commuting to the workplace. I had to go there because his son lives in Canada for higher education. Moreover, doctors asked us to arrange blood, and my blood group was found to be the same. Thus, I was unable to show my presence in the meeting.
I know this meeting was of utmost importance to me as you have given me the responsibility of the head of the department for which this meeting was going on. Hence, I already have discussed the whole scenario and key points with my assistant head Amit. Further, we are taking our responsibilities, and you can rely on the disciplined behaviour that I have shown in the past.
I hope you will forgive me and understand the trouble I faced on the same day.
Yours faithfully,
BAWA IELTS
